Doozie Blankets 101

The what, why and wow of weighted blankets

What is a weighted blanket?

Think of a weighted blanket as a personal, ultra-cozy hug. It’s a blanket filled with evenly distributed weight, designed to create gentle pressure that helps you relax. Doozie blankets combine luxury with science, providing comfort you can feel, inside and out.

How do weighted blankets work?

Deep Touch Pressure (DTP) therapy uses gentle, even weight to relax your body - like a gentle hug. This calming weight soothes your nervous system, boosting serotonin (happy hormone) and melatonin (sleep hormone) while lowering cortisol (stress hormone). The result? Deeper relaxation, better sleep, and peace of mind.

How heavy should my weighted blanket be?

The sweet spot? About 8-12% of your body weight. Think: heavy enough to hug, but not pin you down. If you're unsure, go lighter to ease into your relaxation routine.

Is a weighted blanket safe for everyone?

Generally, yes! Just ensure the weight is comfortable to manage. However, weighted blankets may not be suitable for those with medically diagnosed conditions like asthma, sleep apnea, or severe claustrophobia, or anyone who might have difficulty moving the blanket. If you're unsure, it's always a good idea to check with a healthcare provider first.

How does it help me relax?

Doozie’s gentle weight works through Deep Touch Pressure (DTP) therapy (fancy talk for a calming, all-over hug). It helps ease anxiety, restless minds, and sleepless nights by relaxing your body and soothing your nervous system. Some studies even suggest it could help with focus. Whatever’s on your mind, Doozie’s got you covered.

Life With Doozie

Using and caring for your Doozie

Is it only for sleep?

Nope! Doozie’s got your back (and front) all day long. Use it for lounging, reading, meditating, or even mid-binge. It's perfect for yoga savasana or when you need a breather during a work-from-home day. Whether you’re winding down or powering through, Doozie brings the calm.

How do I clean my Doozie?

The covers are machine-washable for easy upkeep. Just unzip, toss in the wash, and you’re good to go. As for the weighted blanket, gentle machine wash or spot-clean when needed – because luxury deserves a little TLC.

How often should I use it? Can I use it every day?

Absolutely – you can use your weighted blanket every day. Whether it’s for winding down after work, lounging during a movie, or settling in for sleep, Doozie is here whenever you need a little extra calm. Some people even use it for midday refreshers or meditation. It’s your cozy companion, so use it as often as feels right for you.

Can I replace my everyday blanket with my weighted blanket?

Totally! Doozie can become your go-to blanket – whether for sleep, naps, or lazy couch days. Just keep in mind that weighted blankets are a bit heavier than your average throw, but they bring next-level relaxation.

Is it a single or double blanket?

Doozie comes in a 60" x 80" queen-size, making it ideal for one person (so you can fully soak up those cozy vibes). But if you’re feeling cuddly, it’s large enough to share and doubles up nicely for two.

How do I store my weighted blanket?

Each Doozie blanket comes with its own chic duffel bag, perfect for keeping it tidy and protected when not in use. Just fold, roll, and tuck it in – ready for next time.

How do I layer my weighted blanket on the bed?

Think of your weighted blanket as the cherry on top. Layer your Doozie on top of your existing bedding. This way, you can use it until you feel comfortable or all night long – your call. Plus, it’s easy to move to the side when not in use, keeping things flexible and fuss-free.

Snoozie Sleep Mask 101

The lowdown before you lie down

What is Snoozie?

Think of Snoozie as a Doozie for your eyes. Full blackout tells your body it's time to make melatonin. The 3D contour of the eye mask keeps the silk off your eyeballs and lashes, so you get the pressure without the squish. It's 22-momme 100% mulberry silk, doing double duty on your skin and your lash line while you sleep.

How is the Snoozie sleep mask different from a regular eye mask?

Most eye masks are flat, elastic, and sit right on your eyes. Snoozie sleep mask is contoured to lift off your eyes and lashes entirely, made from real silk instead of synthetic satin, and pairs the blackout with the same calming pressure principle as a Doozie blanket, just scaled down for your face.

Why is the Snoozie sleep mask contoured instead of flat?

Flat eye masks sit right on your eyeballs and eyelashes, which is why your lashes end up smushed by morning. The 3D contoured eye mask lifts the fabric off your eyes and lashes entirely, so you get the blackout and the gentle pressure around your eye socket without anything actually touching your eyes.

Do I need to pick a size?

No, your Snoozie sleep mask is one size with a stretchable scrunchie strap, so it fits most head shapes without needing to size up or down. The strap adjusts well past the standard range, so it's not just built for one head shape.

Can I sleep on my side with the Snoozie sleep mask?

Yes. The contour sits close to your face without a bulky ridge, so the sleep mask doesn't dig in or shift when you turn. The strap holds it in place either way.

Does the strap of the sleep mask dig in or pull my hair?

Your Snoozie sleep masks has a silk scrunchie strap, not elastic with a hard edge, so it holds snug without tugging at your hair or leaving a mark on the back of your head.

Will Snoozie sleep mask flatten my lash extensions or mascara?

No. That's the whole point of the contour of the sleep mask. There's a built-in gap over the eye area, so your lashes have room to breathe instead of getting crushed against silk all night.

Does the Snoozie sleep mask really help me sleep better?

Full blackout from the Snoozie sleep mask signals your body to make melatonin, and the light, even pressure around your eyes has a calming effect similar to what a weighted blanket does for your body. Between the two, most people fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.

Is Snoozie good for sensitive skin?

Yes, silk is naturally hypoallergenic and gentle, and this one's OEKO-TEX certified, so no harsh dyes or finishes. If you're prone to reactions with new fabrics, patch test the sleep mask before a full night's sleep.

Can you use eye cream, nighttime moisturiser or other facial products with the mask?

Yes, just give them a 15-20 minutes to sink in first. Putting the sleep mask on right after a heavy application can transfer product onto the silk and leave marks over time, so a short absorption window keeps both your skin and your Snoozie happier.

Why mulberry silk specifically, not satin or regular silk?

Mulberry is the good stuff, longer fibers, smoother weave, no rough patches to irritate your skin or lashes. 22-momme is on the thicker end for silk, so it doesn't feel flimsy.

What does Momme mean?

Momme (mm) is the unit used to measure the weight and density of silk, it's about how tightly woven and substantial the fabric is, not how soft it feels on its own. Higher momme means a thicker, more durable weave. Snoozie sleep mask is 22-momme, which is on the higher end for eye masks, so it holds its shape and lasts longer instead of feeling thin or see-through.

How do I wash my Snoozie sleep mask?

Hand wash only, cool water with silk-specific wash or a bit of shampoo. Air dry in a shaded place without exposure to direct sunlight. No machine washing or regular detergent as this will make the silk eye mask go stiff and yellow over time.

How often can I wash Snoozie sleep mask?

As and when required. Once in 2 weeks is a reasonable rhythm if you wear the eye mask nightly, sooner if you're using heavy night creams or oils that transfer onto the fabric.
